Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUSOK), founded 1975, is the flagship federal university of the north-west, named after the founder of the Sokoto Caliphate. The university runs 14 faculties including Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
