Overview
Olumo Rock is the historic granite outcrop in Abeokuta that gave the Egba people refuge during 19th-century inter-tribal wars; the city is named after it ("Abe-Okuta" = "under the rock"). The site includes the original Egba caves, a lift to the summit, a museum, and panoramic views over Abeokuta. A regular stop on Lagos-Ibadan day trips.
